With over 40 years of experience in the Wilmington area, we can find the perfect system for your home. This page will provide you with information regarding your HVAC replacement.
I Need a HVAC Replacement- Now What?
If you’re dealing with an old, costly, or unreliable system, it’s probably time for a HVAC replacement. We recommend getting estimates from a few different companies. This way you can compare brands, costs, and qualifications of each company. O’Brien Service Company would love to be one of those companies! If you give O’Brien a call, we’ll be happy to schedule you for a complimentary in-home evaluation and estimate.
Our Complimentary In-Home Evaluation
What can you expect during a complimentary in-home evaluation? During this visit, one of our design specialists will visit your home. He will complete the required load calculation to ensure the correct sized system is installed. Many people assume only the square footage of your home will determine the size of your system. But, there are many other factors as well. For instance, local climate, orientation or direction your home faces, construction materials, insulation levels, window type, heat producing appliances, and your personal comfort preferences are all determining factors.
After the size of the system is determined, our design specialist will then give you different options based on their efficiency ratings (referred to as SEER ratings). He will review the current promotions, warranties, and financing options. If you have any questions, your design specialist will answer those. Additionally, our design specialist will find and schedule a good time to follow up. If you know on the spot you want to work with O’Brien for your HVAC replacement, great! But we know this is a big decision, and you will never feel any pressure from our design specialist to decide on the spot. We encourage you to take your time and feel informed and comfortable about your purchase.

Wondering about Other Incentives for Installing a New System?
O’Brien offers Duke Energy Progress rebates on HVAC replacement and new system installations. To make life easier, there’s no need to contact your energy provider to receive these rebates. Instead, when we visit your home for your complimentary in-home evaluation, our design specialists can explain which rebates you’ll be eligible for. Restrictions do apply.
“Matt did a wonderful presentation and provided specific information on the different types of HVAC units available for our type of home. He provided certainty once we made a commitment on a unit as to the time of installation, inspection, and any questions we had after the sale. O’Brien is a well oiled machine and has their staff responsibilities and customer service down to a science.” -Sam B. (Wilmington 28411)
“This was easy. O’Brien’s was the only contractor to measure our home and determine the correct size units to install. This information was calculated and given to us to help determine what to install. They were neat, clean, on time, and provided a schedule to follow for all work involved. The duct work in our upstairs had to be reworked as it did not provide proper airflow. Since all work has been completed the comfort level is much better. We have been informed that if it does not meet our needs corrections will be done.” –Vince G. (Southport, NC)
