Read more info below and give us a call if you think either or both of these products would be a good fit for your home!
Carbon Monoxide Detector
If your home contains any components powered by gas, such as a heating and cooling system, stove, fireplace, or furnace; you’ll need to install a carbon monoxide (CO) detector to make sure your home and family are safe from this colorless and odorless gas. It is dangerous to the health and safety of you and your household members.
Where to install your Carbon Monoxide detector?
CO is slightly lighter than air and can be found rising with warm air. With this in mind, it is important to install your CO detector about 5 feet above the floor, preferably close to the bedrooms. If your home has two or more stories, each floor needs its own CO detector.
Do not place it close to your fireplace or any other source that produces flames. Also, keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Does A Carbon Monoxide Detector Need Maintenance?
Does a carbon monoxide detector need maintenance? Yes. It will need to be checked annually. If your detector runs on batteries, it should be checked twice a year. A good time to schedule this maintenance is right along with your annual HVAC appointment.
The average life expectancy is 10 – 15 years. If yours is older, you might want to look into getting it replaced.
iWave Air Purifier
The iWave Air Purifier destroys germs like viruses, bacteria, and mold. The device is installed inside your heating and air conditioning system so it’s out of sight.
It also has no harmful byproducts and while this product is maintenance-free, you can always contact O’Brien if needed!
The iWave comes with a three-year limited warranty ONLY when installed by a licensed HVAC contractor such as O’Brien.
