Join the O’Brien Energy Savings Club and Schedule Your HVAC Tune-up Today!
“Just as a tune-up for your car can improve your gas mileage, a yearly tune-up of your heating and cooling system can improve efficiency and comfort.” –EnergyStar
Having your heating and cooling systems serviced regularly definitely has its advantages. You rely on your HVAC system to keep your home comfortable. The last thing you need is your heating and air unit quitting on you when you need it most. Having a preventative maintenance plan for your HVAC not only saves you money and stress but also helps extend the lifespan of your system. Furthermore, a tune-up can prevent problems from developing that can be costly to you in the future. That is why we created the Energy Savings Club, to make it easy for you, our valued customer, to keep up with preventative maintenance.
What Do O’Brien Techs Look For During A Tune-Up
During your tune-up, your tech will perform an in-depth inspection of both the heating and cooling sides of your system(s). Throughout the inspection, your tech will be looking for anything that could shorten the life of your system or cause excessively high utility bills.
When To Schedule Your HVAC Tune-Up
Our maintenance season and also the time we highly recommend having a tune-up is between September and May. We recommend this window because HVAC systems typically break down in summer due to the stress of the high temperatures. With this in mind, it’s most beneficial to schedule your tune-up in the spring or fall. That way, your system is more than prepared to handle those extreme temperatures of the summer and winter.
Benefits of a Maintenance Membership
Along with an annual inspection (where our skilled technicians will check both heating and cooling), you receive many other benefits too, including:
- A discounted diagnostic fee of $77 (usually $112 or $143 after hours)
- Up to 20% off on service repairs
- Guarantee of service within 24-48 hours with no overtime fees
To make this process even easier, as a member, you will be contacted by our office by postcard and a follow-up phone call when it’s time for your regularly scheduled maintenance. We know you’re busy; you’ll have nothing to keep up with. We do all the remembering and scheduling for you!
Cost of an HVAC Tune-Up
Not only will a membership ease your mind, but it can also help to take the pressure off your wallet! For under $16/month or $176.40 (not including tax) annually, you can be a member all year long. Adding additional systems is as low as $10/month. Contact us for details on having more than one system on our Energy Savings Plan.

“Chris arrived on time and was pleasant and professional. He answered any questions I had with knowledge and experience. I previously enrolled in the Energy Savings Club when I bought my older home and love the convenience of automatic small monthly payments instead of one larger amount at service time. I could choose which season to have my HVAC inspection/tune-up performed and receive a reminder to make the appointment so I never forget. I feel so much more confident now that my system is getting a yearly inspection and if I ever did need any repairs I can get them at a discount. Another plus is that this service is transferable! So grateful that O’Brien Service Company is maintaining one of the most important pieces of equipment that my home has.”
