Hot Water for the Holidays Rules and Regulations

Who:
  • Applicants must own the property and be over the age of 18.
  • The property must be in O’Brien Service Company’s service area to qualify. Qualifying zip codes can be found at https://obrienservice.com/service-area/
  • The winner will be selected based on the need of a new water heater and current financial situation.
  • The winner's home must meet the following requirements below. If the requirements are not met, O'Brien Service Company reserves the right to choose a different winner.FRONT & BACK CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: A 7” clearance is recommended with a minimum of 7” air space between any object and the front and back of the water heater and 7” on each side. The water heater is approximately 24 inches wide, requiring a total minimum space of approximately 38”x 38” inches to provide the recommended side clearances. These clearances are necessary to allow adequate access for removal of the front and rear access covers and to provide sufficient working space for future inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of the water heater. NOTE: Because this unit draws in air from the room to heat the water, the room must be at least 10’ x 10’ x 7’ (700 cubic feet) or larger. If the room is smaller, there must be a louvered door. Louvers should be 240 square inches (0.15m2) or greater. If two louvers are used, one should be near the top of the door. Place the water heater in such a manner that the air filter, cover and front panels can be removed to permit inspection and servicing, such as removal of elements or cleaning of the filter.
  • An O’Brien manager will be in contact with the winner/homeowner. The manager will confirm that the front and back clearance requirements are met by scheduling and completing an on-site visit.
  • The winner is responsible for all taxes associated with the prize.
  • O’Brien Service Company is not liable for any damage to or loss of property, or personal injury once the water heater is installed.
What:
  • The prize is a GE Hybrid Water Heater (unit and installation are free of charge)!
  • O'Brien reserves the right to install a different brand water heater if deemed necessary.
  • No purchase is necessary.
  • A complimentary water heater flush will be provided one year after the installation date.
  • It is the homeowner’s responsibility to maintain the water heater and pay for any repairs or service needed after installation.
  • O'Brien is not liable for any issues with the water heater and components after installation.
  • All submitted information must be correct, or O’Brien reserves the right to choose a different winner.
  • Any submitted information will not be shared with third parties.
  • The winner accepts that O’Brien Service Company may take pictures and/or videos of the installation to use as needed, including on public media platforms, such as tv, social media, website, internet, etc.
  • No substitution of the prize or transfer of the prize is allowed.
  • The winner accepts the rules and regulations for the Hot Water for the Holidays Giveaway.
