Everywhere you turn in the greater Wilmington NC area new developments and homes are being built. We just want to pass along a few helpful tips regarding new construction homes’ HVAC systems for those moving into them.
Warranty Parts.
First, it is important to confirm your equipment is registered with the manufacture. That ensures your system receives the entire parts warranty. If not registered, it could be cut in half! Even if O’Brien Service Company did not install your equipment, we can obtain parts under the parts warranty if repairs are needed.
To keep the parts warranty valid majority of manufacturers REQUIRE proof of annual maintenance. O’Brien makes this simple with their maintenance agreement and we can easily provide you records electronically if needed. Learn more about our Energy Savings Club, maintenance plus other great benefits!
Improve your Home Comfort.
O’Brien offers indoor air quality products if anyone in the home suffers from allergies or asthma. These include UV lights, attic tents, quality filters, and more.
Additionally, if you have space in your newly constructed home that’s not heated or cooled such as a sunroom, garage, frog, we can quote you for a ductless mini-split system. These are great options and are extremely energy efficient.
Lastly, any problems with airflow or hot/cold rooms, contact us to evaluate the layout and sizing of the ductwork.

“We were having an issue with condensation and mold in a bathroom vent in our new home. The installers of our AC unit were giving us the run-around and another local company were refusing to service our unit so we called OBrien. They came out and helped us out and were very helpful and professional” -Jackie F. (Hampstead 28443)
