July Product of the Month: UV Light
July is here, and so is the summer heat! Homes today are sealed very tightly to ensure your indoor temperature is comfortable. However, at the same time it is also trapping in air pollutants. No need to worry though. You can seal your home to keep the conditioned air inside while eliminating airborne particles by installing a UV light.
What is A UV Light?
A UV light can help remove mold, bacteria, and viruses that are lingering in your indoor air. If someone in your home suffers from allergies or asthma a UV light can help reduce the triggers which cause these conditions. They also help diminish odors, can reduce drain line clogs (by eliminating algae growth), and can help maintain a cleaner coil. There are many benefits to adding a UV light to your home or business. Additionally, it’s a simple installation as well.
A UV light is a low maintenance solution to increase your indoor air quality. The bulb will be installed in your HVAC system, and only needs to be changed about once a year. Depending on the type of heating and cooling system you have, they’re usually installed in the air handler on a split system. Or in the cabinet of a packaged system. The cost for it to run is low, averaging out at around $25 for the year!
If you think a UV light will benefit your home, be sure to contact O’Brien during the month of July! During your service call, if you purchase a UV light from us we’ll waive the installation fee (an $80 value). This promotion will only be valid during the month of July, so call today and improve the air quality in your home!
“It was a real pleasure to meet Will last week. He was so pleasant, so polite and…so knowledgeable! We had several questions for him given the changes we had made last year–and he was right ‘on top’ of every aspect of our questions. In addition, of course, he did all of the regular maintenance work, explained the new UV lamp technology for us–and installed it at our request. We would be happy to see him here again next year!” -Elaine & Bill C. (Wilmington 28403)
